Welcome to Wallingford Inn

The Wallingford Inn, located at 4450 Green Lake Way N in Seattle, offers an intriguing blend of modest accommodations and community-centered hospitality. With a rating of 3.6, this inn sits in a lively district rich with indie stores, bars, and the famous Fremont Sunday Market, making it a fitting base for visitors who appreciate the vibrant spirit of Seattle's neighborhoods.

Guests often mention the warmth and kindness of the staff, especially in moments of unexpected need. One family, grateful for a memorable five-day stay with attentive service, highlights the inn’s genuine care. This personal touch elevates the Wallingford Inn beyond simple lodging—it becomes a refuge during difficult times. However, the inn’s current role as long-term supportive housing rather than a traditional motel shapes much of the experience and guest expectations.

Cleanliness is an area noted with mixed impressions. While bathrooms can be maintained well, issues with room scent and flooring cleanliness suggest room for improvement. The amenities reflect a no-frills approach: free Wi-Fi, free parking, and air conditioning come standard, yet there are no dining facilities, airport shuttles, pools, or fitness centers. For travelers valuing straightforward convenience amid a bustling urban environment, these amenities serve the basics but little beyond.

Wi-Fi quality remains a concern for some guests, particularly those relying heavily on internet access. Pricing is another point of contention, with rates that some guests find steep relative to the conditions offered. This contrast in value perception is understandable, given the inn’s shift in purpose and the changes in management.

Still, the Wallingford Inn holds a nostalgic allure for those who remember its past as a weekend getaway spot. Despite difficulties securing rooms under new management—allegations of selectivity in guest acceptance are echoed—its location affords striking city views and easy access to local attractions like the Fremont Troll and eclectic outdoor art installations.

In sum, the Wallingford Inn is less a traditional motel and more a community anchor in transition. It stands out for its sincere human connections and central location. Prospective guests should weigh expectations carefully, mindful that the inn’s value lies as much in its people and place as in its physical offerings.

This is absolutely an $80 price with 5G access in all rooms, around the property walking the sidewalk the furthest around. Otherwise drops to 1 STAR for price $20 for 1 person $40 if 2 people. WiFi is slower & a challenge for device for my use. If WI reads I key have, leaving a message. Phone number ending *7265 is phone I have that is left on message.

Bathroom was pretty clean but the bed and floor was dirty plus it smelled weird. I gave 4 stars because they really saved my life with getting me a room at the last minute when I booked the wrong flight so the people here have a good heart. They just need the rooms to be a lot cleaner.

So this is always a good motel however it's now long-term supportive housing not a motel anymore so for you people are looking for a motel sorry don't come here but if it ever does come back to a motel I would definitely 100% recommended

I could not stop myself from writing an appreciation review. Me and my two young kids stayed at this location for five days. I cannot thank the two amazing woman we encountered enough for making our stay memorable. I must say that all of our requests were fulfilled to the best possible levels. Although, it was a unexpected stay, we were treated with so much kindness. Thank you so much to the wonderful staff members for taking the time to take care of me, and my two young children, your work will not go unnoticed. God Bless you all.
